Are you asking the right questions in personal finance?

Jim Walis rightly stated: If you are asking the wrong question, it doesn’t matter how good the answer is, you aren’t going to get where you want to go.

In the context of personal finance, questions which focus more on the product rather than the solution have a myopic approach. This stems from the fact that goals have not been properly defined. One needs to define the ultimate purpose of how the money to be invested is eventually going to be spent. Defining this one thing can take a person from mental fogginess to pristine clarity.

It is hence imperative to ask the right questions and which are relevant to an individual’s financial life situation.
